Elderly man strangles son to death at their Nara home
The Mainichi Shimbun NARA -- A 66-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his son to death, police said. Haruo Nishigami, 66, from Soni, Nara Prefecture, was arrested on suspicion of murder for strangling his 35-year-old son Kiyohiko. Nishigami has admitted to the allegations. "My son went violent and was out of control," Nishigami was quoted as telling investigators. A relative of Nishigami reported to police that someone had collapsed at Nishigami's home at around 7 p.m. on Sunday. Police found Kiyohiko, lying dead on a futon. Nishigami allegedly used a rope to strangle his son at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, police said. (Mainichi Japan) December 31, 2007 |
