Man arrested for slamming 3-year-old son's head into floor in Utsunomiya
Japan Today UTSUNOMIYA — Police on Tuesday arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his 3-year-old son in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture. The son was taken to hospital and remains in critical condition. Tatsuya Asakawa, 30, was charged with assaulting his son by slamming the boy's head into the floor while visiting his mother's house around 6:45 p.m. Monday night The mother, 60, called an ambulance, police said. Asakawa reportedly told police: "I got angry because my son started sulking after I scolded him for for joking with his siblings at home." The suspect lives with his wife and six sons. |
