Kenji Sawada, 39, a resident of Ageo, Saitama Prefecture, is accused of violating the Law for Punishing Acts Related to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography.

Sawada offered on Jan. 12 to pay 1 million yen to a 13-year-old junior high school girl living in Nerima-ku, Tokyo, if she sent a nude photo of herself to him, local police said. After the girl sent a half-naked image of herself, Sawada saved it on his mobile phone, according to investigators.

Sawada threatened to post her obscene image on the Internet if she refused to send him more photos. Sawada had got acquainted with the victim through an online bulletin board.
