Drug suspect arrested for running schoolgirl prostitution ring
The Mainichi Shimbun A man in custody on drug charges has also been accused of running an illegal prostitution ring using schoolgirl sex workers, police said. Saburo Aida, 33, a self-employed man from Tokyo's Toshima-ku, was charged for breaking the Child Welfare Law and Prostitution Prevention Law. A 29-year-old man who worked for Aida's construction company is also suspected of involvement, and is being investigated. Aida admits to the allegations against him, police said, adding that he introduced schoolgirl prostitutes to 38 customers during September and October last year, earning 1.05 million yen. Police said the new charges relate to Aida arranging for two 17-year-old schoolgirls to find male customers and perform sex acts on them in a hotel in the Ikebukuro district of Toshima-ku during September last year. Police said Aida and the other men used online matchmaking sites to lure customers with the promise of sex with a schoolgirl. When the customers agreed to pay, the suspect would send a schoolgirl to meet the customer at a designated area, police said. Aida and the schoolgirls have already been arrested for breaking the Stimulants Control Law, after police alleged they were in possession of speed. (Mainichi Japan) April 3, 2008 |
