Schoolgirl prostitute's john tracked down through mobile phone records

FUNABASHI, Chiba -- A man who paid a junior high schoolgirl for sex has been arrested after he was tracked down through her mobile phone records, police said.

Arrested for breaking the Law for Punishing Acts Related to Child Prostitution and Child Pornography was Toshinari Osako, 42, a company employee from Nerima-ku, Tokyo.

Osako admits to the allegations.

Police said that Osako paid 50,000 yen to the 15-year-old schoolgirl he met through an online matchmaking site to have sex at a hotel in Funabashi in late May last year.

The schoolgirl's mother found Osako's phone number in her daughter's mobile phone records during a search in autumn last year and thought it was suspicious, so alerted the police, who tracked him down.
