Woman arrested for strangling infant son who wouldn't stop crying
The Mainichi Shimbun NISSHIN, Aichi -- A woman has been arrested for strangling her infant son at her parents' home here because he would not stop crying, police said. Aya Kamiaka, 35, a housewife living in Hekinan, Aichi Prefecture, stands accused of murder. She admitted to the allegations, investigators said. "I was annoyed because my son wouldn't stop crying," Kamiaka was quoted as telling investigators during questioning. At around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Kamiaka strangled her 1-year-old son Ryoma with her hands in the kitchen of her parents' home in Nisshin, local police said.
