Chiba man arrested for beating 8-month-old daughter to death
Japan Today Police on Saturday arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly beating his 8-month-old daughter to death at their home in Chiba’s Chuo Ward on Friday night. According to police, Kazuo Sugatani went into a room where his daughter was crying around 11:45 on Friday night. He told police he gave her a bottle of milk but when she wouldn’t stop crying, he hit her in the face and on her head. Sugatani’s 22-year-old wife told police she was in another room watching TV at the time. She said her husband came back and said there was something wrong with the child. They then called 119. The child died of internal bleeding a few hours later in hospital, police said. Man arrested for beating baby daughter into coma
