Buddhist priest busted for child prostitution
The Mainichi Shimbun NIIGATA -- A Buddhist priest was arrested Thursday for paying girls to have sex with him early last year, police said. Masashi Ikarashi, 37, a resident of Agano, Niigata Prefecture, is accused of violating the anti-child prostitution and pornography law. Ikarashi paid 20,000 yen each to two third-year junior high school girls to have sex with him at a hotel in Niigata in January 2005, local police said. The priest had got acquainted with the girls through a telephone dating club in Niigata, according to investigators. (Mainichi) October 5, 2006 |
