Noriaki Fujiwara, a 41-year-old firefighter, and Hiroyuki Obinata, a 36-year-old company employee, were arrested for breaking the Law for Punishing Acts Related to Child Prostitution.

Investigators said Fujiwara paid the 16-year-old girl 15,000 yen to have sex with her at a hotel in Kanie, Aichi Prefecture, at about 2:45 a.m. on July 7, despite knowing she was aged under 18.

On Feb. 7, Obinata allegedly paid the same girl 30,000 yen for sex in a hotel in Nagoya's Nakagawa-ku.

Both men reportedly got to know the girl through a cell-phone voice-mail dating service. (Mainichi)
