Family Court won't consider psychological evidenceDocumented: December 28, 2003 [This parent is still fighting the decision of the Family Court, so wishes to remain anonymous for now.] I can attest to the fact that Japanese courts ignore expert testimony regarding domestic violence and psychological abuse. I begged the family court repeatedly to involve psychological experts to deal with my borderline wife but they refused to do so. In lieu of that I submitted testimony and recommendations from a Child Psychiatrist and a Child Psychologist regarding the harmful effect my wife's behavior was having on my son. All of this was ignored, and the opinion barely even touches on it. |
